History

After Pasturing or assisting other churches I felt led in my spirit to move by faith. So I began to look for a building to start the work I felt the lord was directing me to do.

After searching the Steelton and surrounding area I noticed that the building at 1720 was for sale. I prayed and sought God for his advise in this matter.

What impressed me about this building is that it was just across the street from my apartment, so I was familiar with many of the families and children that lived in the neighborhood. I also watch many things that happen involving drugs; alcohol and children out late without their parents, and not dressed properly etc...

God laid on my heart a burden to make a difference in the community and this building was in my spirit since 1999. God blessed Praise and Worship Center Ministries with the building on Dec.31, 1999.

My vision is to touch and reach as many young lives as I can through the ministry. I hope to touch as many people who perhaps would not enjoy a traditional church setting, but being willing to explore the Gospel of Jesus Christ to change their lives and way of living.

To be in Gods family is the most important relationship one will have in his or her lifetime.

I thought that the vision would materialize fast, but instead many obstacles were faced and we overcame them by believing and having faith in God. I believe God wanted things to move slowly, as it gave the ministry time to grow on the community and for my patience to grow.
